
Amy Adams, MD.
Dr. Adams is board certified in anesthesiology and interventional pain management with a certificate of qualifications in regenerative medicine. She graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Magna Cum Laude in 1993 and did her anesthesiology residency at Richland Memorial Hospital/University of South Carolina.
In 2018, Dr. Adams formed LifeStem Regenerative Medicine, which treats all types of orthopedic and spine problems out of its office at 9235 Katy Freeway, Suite 330, Houston, Texas. LifeStem has an ironclad commitment to quality, state-of-the-art regenerative medicine treatment with 5-star customer service.
In 2025, Dr. Adams formed Vital Wound Solutions with Lorena Murphy to provide state-of-the-art wound care utilizing regenerative medicine to the people of Georgia and South Carolina.
By combining advanced skin substitutes, regenerative therapies and personalized treatment plans, the clinic brings innovative options to patients who may not have responded to traditional
methods of wound healing. Vital Wound Solutions strives to set a new standard in wound management by delivering compassionate, evidence-based care that emphasizes both clinical excellence and patient-centered outcomes.
Dr. Adams has two adult daughters and a “grand-dog”. She enjoys any time on the water, studying the bible, and medical mission work.

Lorena Murphy, MSN, APRN, FNP-BC
Lorena Murphy, FNP, is a double board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner and the founder of Vital Wound Solutions. With extensive clinical experience, including almost 15 years in chronic pain management, Lorena brings a comprehensive and compassionate approach to the treatment of patients with complex, non-healing wounds.
She specializes in advanced wound care for chronic conditions such as diabetic foot ulcers, venous and arterial ulcers, pressure injuries, and complex surgical wounds. Lorena focuses not only on wound closure, but also on optimizing patient comfort and quality of life—recognizing that chronic wounds and chronic pain are often closely intertwined.
Lorena is passionate about delivering high-quality, evidence-based wound care in the comfort of patients’ homes. She utilizes advanced treatment modalities, including amniotic membrane skin substitutes, to help stimulate healing in wounds that have failed to respond to conventional therapies. Her patient-centered philosophy emphasizes thorough assessment, identification of underlying barriers to healing, and close collaboration with referring physicians and home health agencies.
